Typhoon
Typhoon is an optical sorting machine equipped
with high‑resolution cameras for inspecting product on the
conveyor belt. The system is designed for checking foods in pulpy or
liquid form, such as fruit pulp, crushed or extruded tomatoes, as well
as pulpy fruit or tomato pieces.
Typhoon can remove defective products with colour deviations, blemished
product, and foreign bodies, even if they are the same colour as the good product.
The product is fed onto the inspection belt in a thin layer. The inspection zone is clearly
separated from the removal zone in order to avoid splashes that could, over time, affect the
sorting process.
Typhoon features a rejection system with vacuum ejectors. Depending on the size of the product
pieces, the rejection system can be equipped with 64, 88, 128 or 176 ejector nozzles. The nozzle
diameter varies according to the size of the product pieces, from a minimum of 8 mm to a maximum
of 25 mm.
Typhoon can be equipped either with a single ejection system or with two independent rejection
systems for sorting fine pulp and diced pulp.
